The project sought to create an immersive experience in the heart of the Black Forest through a pedestrian walkway at the height of the treetops. The major technical challenge consisted of erecting a 40-meter-high panoramic tower, with an unusual expansive chalice-shaped silhouette, that would guarantee maximum structural stability against the wind without compromising visual permeability or respect for the natural environment.

The tower was resolved using an outer ring of twelve large, doubly inclined glued laminated timber beams arranged in symmetrical rotation. For the bracing and safety of the extensive spiral pedestrian ramp, a complex surrounding network of diagonals and tension rings was integrated. As an interactive recreational element to culminate the route, the structure houses in its core a dizzying 55-meter-drop tubular slide.

Performance and Properties
Faced with the demanding climatic conditions of the forest and constant humidity, stainless steel guarantees exceptional resistance to environmental corrosion and extremely high mechanical reliability. 

Design and Finishes 
Its neat and reflective appearance dialogues perfectly with the warmth of the wood, additionally providing ideal sliding friction and a hygienic interior in the slide.

Connecting fasteners, and the spectacular 55-meter closed tunnel slide. 

Life Cycle
It represents a minimum-maintenance material that prolongs the useful life of the entire complex and is 100% recyclable, an absolute imperative in ecotourism projects.
