The first rainwater is the most polluting as it carries dirt and pollution from the asphalt of the streets. The storm water tanks retain the rainwater and regulate its passage to the treatment plants to prevent untreated water from being discharged into our rivers on days of heavy rainfall.
Water arrives through a collector. Before it reaches the tanks, it is filtered through grates to separate solid waste. To regulate the flow of water to the treatment plants, valves are used to adjust the flow of water to be released. Once empty, waste is left in the interior of the tank and must be removed quickly and as efficiently as possible.
Stainless steel is used throughout the process. It avoids corrosion that could be produced by contact with water and bacterias. It prolongs maintenance periods and guarantees the necessary resistance so that the system does not collapse under pressure.
