We see many elements in our cities that are part of their urban furniture: benches, fences, handrails, playgrounds, bollards, bins...  The manufacturers of these elements combine quality and safety, trying to improve the daily life of the citizen.

We would like to present in this article of our blog, some of these pieces which are certified for installation in the streets:

• Inverted U-shaped bicycle park made of stainless steel

The number of cities that support free pollution transport is growing, such as bike transport.  The city council promotes measures like cycle paths, speed limitation and parking facilities specially made for them on the pavement where you can lock your bicycle and be sure it won't be stolen. 

The best solution to make these elements will depend on different factors such as the environment.  For example, in Madrid stainless steel AISI 304L is often used because its resistance to the climate and also because it performs very well when welded.

• Stainless steel bollards

To limit the entrance and create a barrier between cars and people are their main purpose, for instance at the cross walks.  Stainless steel is the best material for these elements due to its good behaviour against vandalism and other external agents. Again, the selection of the material will depend on the location and also the required mechanical properties.

• Modular toilet cabin

Have you ever used one of those cabins we find in the cities?  When you go inside one, it is all made of stainless steel. You will see many sanitary applications made of this material: self-cleaning lavatory, paper dispenser, bin, washbasin, hand dryer, hanger...  Everything is made of stainless steel to guarantee durability, resistance and easy maintenance.

Stainless steel is commonly used in this kind of applications because its hygienic character and cleanability.  Specifically we will use AISI 316L when aggressive disinfectants are applied. This material will also give a modern and futurist aspect that no other material will provide.
