Why stainless steels become magnetic in some cases?

  Susana Adámez

Stainless steel magnetic permeability is usually very low, almost vacuum. To the point of being considered nonmagnetic but, increasing with work hardening.

Sometimes it can come out in deep drawing processes and can give an indication of the state of the stainless steel hardness, at least qualitatively.
